Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter released the following statement on the House GOP leadership agreeing on a two month compromise bill with the Senate.

"Today, an agreement was reached and 160 million Americans will not see a pay hike after the first of the year and millions of seniors will maintain access to their doctors.  The tea party political games failed.  Going forward I hope Congress can work on a long term solution.  Americans want us to work together to create jobs.  Putting people back to work is my number one priority."
