Congressman Ed Perlmutter will hold his second Town Hall meeting on Saturday, June 2, 2007 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Commerce City Recreation Center.
During this second town hall meeting, the Congressman will update constituents on the debate and votes concerning the Iraq war as well as potential immigration legislation. He will also discuss other upcoming legislation in the House of Representatives. Additionally, constituents will have the opportunity to engage in a question and answer session with the Congressman to discuss any other issues and concerns they may have.
“Our nation is facing serious issues that Congress must address,” said Perlmutter. “It is important to me to hear from my constituents on the important issues impacting their lives.”
Town hall meetings will be held quarterly around the district. The next town halls will be August 25, 2007 in Jefferson County; and November 10, 2007 in Adams County. In addition to regular town hall meetings, the Congressman and his staff will be hosting regular “office hours” as part of their Government at the Grocery program around the district.
