House Passes Overwhelmingly 411 to 3

Today the House passed H.R. 1773, the Safe American Roads Act of 2007 by a vote of 411 to 3. Rep. Perlmutter voted yes for the bill which requires the Secretary of Transportation to report to Congress on the safety standards and qualifications of Mexican trucking companies and their drivers prior to being able to institute a pilot program which would have allowed them access to America's roadways.
