Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter made the following statement honoring America' s hard working educators:

“Today is Teacher Appreciation Day, a day for honoring teachers and recognizing their contributions to our communities. Every one of our lives has been impacted by teachers. Each teacher influences students in their own ways, perhaps most profoundly in their classrooms. Today I want to recognize Stephanie Rossi, a teacher from Wheat Ridge High School in the 7th Congressional District of Colorado. She is my daughter Zoe’s science teacher and also taught my daughter Alexis. Stephanie was one of the five finalists this year for the National Education Association’s Teacher of the Year. Her commitment and dedication to her students, school and community is inspiring. I am thankful my kids had a teacher that invested so much of herself in their success.”
