Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) released the following statement about the transportation projects located in Adams County to be funded through H.R. 1, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Highway Projects.
“With this funding we can finally turn dirt on long awaited infrastructure projects in Adams County . These transit projects will improve our roads, help repair our aging infrastructure and create jobs. All of these projects in Adams County are ready to go and will help our state and country get back on track by improving our roads and creating good paying jobs.”
H.R. 1 Adams County transportation infrastructure projects include the following:

Construction of roundabouts at the interchange at I-76 at
96th Avenue/$2.5 million.

Installation of median cable guardrail to prevent crossover accidents at I-70 between
Pena Boulevard and Tower Road/$400,000.
*
Replacement of two bridges on I-76 over UPRR (Union Pacific Rail Road) and State Highway 224/$13.5 million.
