Rep. Perlmutter Announces U.S. Naval Academy Appointment for Hinkley High School Senior, Kendra CypherFebruary 25, 2009 Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) is proud to announce Aurora resident and Hinkley High School Senior, Kendra Cypher, was awarded an appointment to the Unites States Naval Academy at Annapolis for the fall of 2009. “I am very proud the United States Naval Academy chose Kendra to be a Midshipman for this fall. Her academic, athletic and extra-curricular accomplishments all combined to make her a strong candidate. With young women like Kendra attending our prestigious service academies our nation will continue to have a new generation of leaders,” stated Perlmutter. Kendra is the daughter of Edward and Stella Cypher and is an active member of her high school and community. While involved with extra-curricular activities such as marching band, swimming and theatre, she also spends time volunteering for Amigos de las Americas and Youth for Uganda. Kendra is an International Baccalaureate and National Honor Society member who has excelled in the classroom over the span of her high school career. ### |
