Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) voted for and the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1105, the FY 2009 Omnibus, by a vote of 245 to 178. The bill consists of nine FY 2009 appropriations bills the 110th Congress and the Bush Administration could not agree on last year. H.R. 1105 now goes to the Senate then to the President’s desk for his signature. “I am pleased the omnibus passed the House today. Included in this bill are important research, infrastructure and community projects which will benefit the 7th Congressional District, the state and the nation. I am particularly proud the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden received additional funds to further develop their campus build-out plan. Fully funding and expanding the work being done at NREL is critical to our nation’s energy security.
