Rep. Perlmutter Announces Grant Award to Adams County & Front Range AirportJanuary 23, 2009 U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) is proud to announce the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a grant of $948,693 to Adams County and the Front Range Airport Authority. The current runway lighting system has reached the end of its lifespan and this grant will provide funding to rehabilitate the taxiway lighting system. Front Range Airport is a general aviation airport with two runways, located outside of Watkins, Colorado in Adams County. The grant will be administered by the Federal Aviation Administration. “I would like to congratulate Front Range Airport and Adams County on this grant award. Front Range Airport is an important transportation and commerce hub for Colorado and will help bolster the rapid growth taking place in Adams County. Colorado’s aviation industry continues to be an important economic engine for the entire Rocky Mountain region,” stated Perlmutter. |
