Congressman Ed Perlmutter (D-CO) congratulates TDA Research Inc.of Wheat Ridge, on their efforts developing alternative forms of energy and technology, for which they were recently awarded a Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract through the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
TDA Research received the $70,000 contract from the EPA to develop a low-cost biodiesel fuel through a combination of high free fatty acid vegetable oil and animal fat feedstock, which is expected to be cost-effective as well as energy efficient.
“With this country searching for new and innovative ways to develop alternative sources of energy, it is important for our government to do whatever is possible to encourage this process and make it a priority for American companies to do so,” Perlmutter said. “I am honored to see this work taking place right here in the Seventh Congressional District.”
