Today, U.S. Rep Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) is proud to announce Arvada resident and Arvada West High School Senior, Nathan Safford, was awarded an appointment to the Unites States Military Academy at West Point for the fall of 2008. His parents are Sandra and Mathew Safford of Arvada, Colorado .

“I am very proud the United States Military Academy chose Nathan to be a Cadet for this fall. His academic, athletic and extra-curricular accomplishments all combined to make him a strong candidate. I have no doubt he will succeed at the academy. With young men like Nathan attending our prestigious service academies our nation will continue to have a new generation of leaders,” stated Perlmutter.
