February 8, 2008

Congressman Ed Perlmutter will hold a Town Hall meeting this Saturday morning, February 9, 2008 at the Arvada City Hall.

The Congressman will take the opportunity to update constituents on his first year in Congress, the economic stimulus plan passed by the House, veterans’ issues and energy policy. The Congressman will also preview upcoming issues that the House will be considering in the next few months. Additionally, constituents will have the opportunity to engage in a question and answer session with the Congressman to discuss issues that are on their mind.

“The citizens of Colorado ’s 7th District deserve to have the most responsive representation in Congress possible,” said Perlmutter. “The best way I can achieve this goal is by hosting these types of conversations and bringing their ideas with back with me to Washington .”

The town hall meetings around the district in addition to the bi-weekly Government in the Grocery program offer constituents an opportunity to speak directly with Representative Perlmutter about the issues affecting their lives. In addition to these regular meetings, the Congressman also hosts tele-town meetings that allow the citizens of the 7th District to interact with him in a conference call setting. Over 2,800 constituents participated in the last Tele-town hall meeting held on Jan. 22nd.
