U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter released the following response to Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Jr. and the bipartisan General Assembly leadership’s announcement concerning voting procedures for the 2008 election.
“I applaud the Governor and the General Assembly leadership for working in a bipartisan manner to craft fair and accessible voting procedures for the 2008 election. The use of paper ballots in conjunction with early voting, voting by mail and election day voting options should instill confidence in the public that Colorado will have fair and open elections in 2008.”
