Today, U.S. Rep Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) is proud to announce Aurora resident and Rangeview High School Senior, Timothy S. Janke, was awarded an appointment to the Unites States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs for the fall of 2008. His parents are Susan and Kevin Janke. He is the first student to be awarded an Air Force Academy appointment from the 7th Congressional District by Rep. Perlmutter.

"I am very proud the Air Force Academy chose Timothy to be a Cadet for this fall. His academic, athletic and extra-curricular accomplishments all combined to make him a strong candidate. I have no doubt he will succeed at the academy. With young men like Timothy attending our prestigious service academies our nation will continue to have a new generation of leaders," stated Perlmutter.

Congressman Perlmutter’s office will get one appointment for each of the four service academies: U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy and the Merchant Marine Academy.
