Today, Rep. Ed Perlmutter issued the following statement concerning the shootings on Sunday at two churches in Colorado:

“I want to express my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims in yesterday’s shootings at the Youth With A Mission Center in Arvada and at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs.

On a day we dedicate to peace and reflection, this was truly a tragedy striking all of our communities.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, and their families and friends.”
