Perlmutter statement on the 14th anniversary of September 11, 2001
Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) issued the following statement on the 14th anniversary of September 11, 2001:
"We will always remember the thousands of lives lost and the families devastated by the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Today marks a dark and painful moment in American history, but it also represents the strength and resiliency of the American spirit. Today, let’s remember the remarkable courage of the first responders, firefighters and medical personnel who saved countless lives; let’s remember the Pentagon workers who refused to desert their posts even as the building burned; and let’s remember the passengers and crew of United Flight 93 who stood up to terrorists and stopped another attack. My thoughts and prayers will forever be with those impacted by the tragedy, and I will forever be in awe of the courage demonstrated by so many Americans on September 11, 2001."
