Reads Names of Colorado Vietnam Veterans at Ceremony at Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial

Today, in honor of Veterans’ Day, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) participated in the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund Reading of the Names to commemorate the Memorial’s 25th Anniversary.

At 7:15 a.m. (EST), Perlmutter read 30 of the more than 58,000 names of service members subscribed on the wall. Three of the names read by Perlmutter served in the Vietnam War from Colorado . They were: Sgt. Nicholas L. Navarro, Denver, Marine Corps.; 2Lt. Jerome J. Ringenberg, Littleton , Marine Corps.; HN Edwin L. Youngman, Fraser, Navy.

“I am honored to participate in this event and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to their country. I am proud of the men and women currently serving in our armed forces and who served before them. To them, I want to say, thank you for your courage, determination, and service.”
