Commercial Remote Sensing Amendment Act
H.R. 6845 passed by voice vote under suspension in July 2022
 - Legislation supports commercial remote sensing activities in the U.S. and provides for transparency in licensing of commercial remote sensing systems The bill renews an expired requirement for the Department of Commerce to send an annual report to Congress on the status of commercial remote sensing applications, regulations, and adjudications. 

Credit Union Governance Modernization Act

H.R. 2311 adopted as part of the FY22 appropriations package passed in March 2022
 - Bipartisan legislation to update credit union practices and improve employee and member safety.

Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) Banking Act
H.R. 1996 passed four times in the House in the 117th Congress: 1) standalone bill on April 19, 2021; 2) as part of the FY22 NDAA: 3) as part of the America COMPETES Act; and 4) as part of the FY23 NDAA
 - Legislation seeks to harmonize federal and state law by prohibiting federal regulators from taking punitive measures against depository institutions that provide banking services to legitimate cannabis-related businesses and ancillary businesses (e.g. electricians, plumbers, landlords, etc.) that serve them. The bill establishes a safe harbor for any depository institution that chooses to provide banking services to a cannabis-related legitimate businesses which holds and maintains a license from a state or local government to engage in manufacturing, growing, or producing, as well as any business who handles, sells, transports, displays or distributes cannabis or cannabis products.

School Safety Drill Research Act
H.R. 3432 was included in the FY22 appropriations package passed in March 2022
 - Legislation to study the potential mental health effects of active shooter drills in K-12 schools
Specifically, the legislation authorizes $1 million for the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine to examine the possible mental health effects of active shooter drills, lockdown drills, and other firearm violence prevention activities in schools on school staff and students, including younger children and children with disabilities. 

Railroad Rehabilitation and Improvement Financing Equity Act
H.R. 3318 was included in the FY22 appropriations package passed in March 2022
 - Legislation requires the Department of Transportation (DOT) to return $28.9 million, plus interest, for a deposit that RTD made to secure a federal loan to redevelop Denver's Union Station.
