The Citizens United decision, which Ed believes is the worst decision in recent history, increased how corporate interests influence campaigns and elections. It is time we clean up the system. Ed supports overturning Citizens United and believes that corporations are not people in our political system. We need to empower Congress to regulate and set reasonable limits on the raising and spending of money by candidates and others to influence elections. Ed has also supported recent efforts to increase transparency by asking regulatory agencies to require the true sponsor of political advertisements be disclosed as well as requiring public companies to report their political activities to shareholders.
